Preview Button

The Preview button brings up the Sortie File Editor, which may be used to look at all available sortie files, or modify a sortie file for the particular session.

Once saved, the sortie file may be loaded by choosing the appropriate base and lesson again, and pressing the Load Sortie button.

Available Sortie Files

The Available Sortie Files ComboBox contains a list of the available sortie files for the lesson.

The instructor may choose a "standard" sortie file for a given lesson, or he may choose a custom sortie file, which has been previously edited and saved at the Remote Instructor Station (RIS).

Select Base Combo Box

The Select Base ComboBox is used to select which base's localized version of a sortie file is loaded.

Select Lesson Combo Box

The Select Lesson ComboBox is used to select a particular sortie file at the chosen base.

Load Button

The Load button retrieves the selected sortie file into the simulator and begins to set up the lesson.

This is the point in time where the various weather areas begin to get initialized.
