Description
Before Recording Lead-Ship or Demonstration Files

Note: Before recording a Lead-Ship Profile make sure that the Formation Flight Control page is not displayed on either IOS screen. Likewise, before recording a Demonstration File make sure that the Playback and Snapshots page is not displayed on either IOS screen.

Recording a Lead-Ship Profile

Recording a Lead-Ship Profile is a eight (8) step process. All steps are shown below, those that are optional are denoted as such.

  1. Use the Lead-Ship RadioButton to enable a Lead-Ship type of recording and to enable the controls in the Lead-Ship GroupBox.

  2. Use the Start Recording PushButton to initialize the recorder and to automatically turn on System Freeze. Automatically turning on System Freeze marks the beginning of the first track of the recording.

  3. Use the System Freeze PushButton to turn off System Freeze and actually start the recording.

  4. When finished flying a particular track of the Formation Lead Profile, use the System Freeze PushButton to mark the end of the track. Use it again to begin recording the next track. As each recorded track is finished, an associated Track Titles EditBox will be initialized to the text "Track #" where "#" is replaced with the actual track number.

  5. After all tracks have been flown and recorded, use the Stop Recording PushButton to stop the recording.

  6. Use the Profile Name EditBox to name the recording.

  7. Optional Use the Track Titles EditBoxes to edit the titles of each recorded track. There is no need to edit the "N/A" tracks as these tracks don't really exist and changes to these names will not be saved.

  8. After the Profile Name has been entered and (optionally) all the recorded track titles have been modified, use the Save PushButton to save all the changes.
Recording a Demonstration File

  1. Use the Demonstration RadioButton to enable a Demonstration type of recording and to enable the controls in the Demonstration GroupBox.

  2. Use the Start Recording PushButton to start recording a demonstration file.

  3. After the demonstration has been flown and recorded, use the Stop Recording PushButton to stop the recording.

  4. Use the Demo Filename EditBox to name the recording.

  5. After the Demo Filename has been entered, use the Save PushButton to save the recording.

Use the Include Pre-recorded Lead controls checkbox to include a formation profile in the demonstration. Use the Pre-recorded Lead controls to select a formation profile and track, start/stop the formation profile, and to reposition the simulated aircraft relative to the formation profile leadship.
