Playback and Snapshot

Description
Playback GroupBox

Use the Instant Replay RadioButton to enable the controls used to playback an Instant Replay type recording and to disable the controls used to playback a Demonstration type recording.

Use the Demonstration RadioButton to enable the controls used to playback a Demonstration type recording and to disable the controls used to playback a Instant Replay type recording.
Instant Replay RadioButton and GroupBox

Instant Replay refers to the continuous recording of the last ten (10) minutes of simulation.

Use the Previous Minutes Slider to cause the simulation to go back the selected number of minutes and automatically trim the simulated aircraft to the conditions found at that time.

Note: The trimming process takes approximately 10 seconds to complete. During this time the Play PushButton will be disabled, but the Previous Minutes Slider can be re-adjusted.

Once the trimming process is complete, use the Play PushButton to start playing back simulation from the selected point.

At any point during Instant Replay, the Previous Minutes Slider can be adjusted to a new offset. This will again cause trimming of the simulated aircraft to the conditions found at the new offset and must be followed by selecting the Play PushButton again.

At any point before completion of the Instant Replay, the instructor can use the Fly-out PushButton to immediately return control of the simulated aircraft to the student.

Note: Selecting Fly-out will cause the old instant replay data to be discarded and will start recording of new data that can be used for the next instant replay event.

Upon normal completion of the Instant Replay, simulation will be held constant and the instructor must either use the Fly-out PushButton to clear the Instant Replay mode of operation and return control of the simulated aircraft to the student, or the instructor can re-adjust the Previous Minutes Slider to replay again.
Play and Fly-out PushButtons

Use the Play PushButton as referenced in the Instant Replay and Demonstration sections.

Use the Fly-out PushButton to stop playing back the selected recorded data and to return control of the simulated aircraft to the student.

Note: The Play and Fly-out PushButtons are enabled and disabled automatically as they become usable or unusable.
Snapshot Groupbox

Use the controls in this GroupBox to recall and delete recorded snapshots.

Note: Snapshots that exist are shown enabled and snapshots that no longer exist are shown disabled.

Use the PushButtons in the Recall column to recall the associated snapshot. The simulated aircraft will be repositioned and trimmed to the altitude, heading, and indicated airspeed shown, as well as to the latitude and longitude saved when the snapshot was taken. The Mission Time column is for reference only.

Use the PushButtons in the Delete column to delete the associated snapshot. All valid snapshots after the one just deleted will be moved up one row. If there are no valid snapshots after the one just deleted then the selected row will be disabled.

Snapshots are always shown in the order they were taken. If 20 have already been taken and another one is requested the oldest snapshot will be lost and the entire list of snapshots will be adjusted by moving up one row to make room for the new snapshot.
Demonstration RadioButton and GroupBox

Use the Filename ComboBox to pick the name of the demonstration file and to cause it to automatically load.

At this point, the Minutes from start of file Slider will be set to a time offset that corresponds to the end of the demonstration file. The File length (minutes) value will also show how many minutes were recorded for the selected demonstration.

If the demonstration is a formation demonstration, the Initialize Formation Demo button will be enabled. Use this button to load the formation profile and set the Minutes from start of file Slider to the start of the demonstration file.

Use the Minutes from start of file Slider to skip to the selected number of minutes from the beginning of the file and automatically trim the simulated aircraft to the conditions found at that time. Selecting an offset beyond the number of minutes shown by the File length (minutes) value will reset the Minutes from start of file Slider to the beginning of the demonstration file and automatically trim the simulated aircraft to the conditions found at that time.

Use the Play PushButton to start playing back the demonstration from the selected point.

At any point before completion of the Demonstration, the instructor can use the Fly-out PushButton to immediately return control of the simulated aircraft to the student.

Upon normal completion of the Demonstration, simulation will be held constant and the instructor must either use the Fly-out PushButton to clear the Demonstration mode of operation and return control of the simulated aircraft to the student, or the instructor can re-adjust the slider to replay again.

If the Auto Fly-Out checkbox is checked, fly-out will occur automatically upon completion of the demonstration.

Upon fly-out, if the demonstration is a formation demonstration, the Pre-Recorded Lead controls will be enabled. Use these controls to reposition the simulated aircraft relative to the formation leadship. Use the Terminate Leadship button to end the formation profile and allow selection of another demonstration if/when desired.
