Description
GeoChart Help Page

The GeoChart page is used to display geo-referenced graphical chart products such as Sectional Charts, TPC's, High- and Low-Altitude Enroute Charts, DP's, STAR's, Terminal Approaches, and Airport Diagrams.

Map Center

To center the current chart on the location of the Ownship, select the Map Center "Aircraft" button.

This will only take effect if the Ownship is within the bounds of the selected chart. Otherwise, the button will be greyed-out and not selectable.

Chart Selection

You select the desired chart using the controls in the Chart Selection group box.

Pub type: Contains a list of the available chart types. The contents of this list vary depending on how the site administrator has set up the groupings of the charts.

Nearby: When Nearby is selected as the Pub Type, then any chart that lies beneath the current lat/lon of the Ownship is made available to the "Available" list box. For Nearby-type charts, the "Airfield" list box will be greyed-out.

Airfield: When you select IAP-SID-STAR as the Pub Type, the Airfield selection box becomes active. Then, the Airfield selection can be used to select a specific airport from the larger grouping of IAP-SID-STAR contents.

Sortie-Referenced: When Sortie-Referenced is selected as the Pub Type, then all charts defined in the currently loaded Sortie File are shown in the Available list box. In this mode also, the Airfield list box is greyed-out.

Change pushbutton: Selecting this will cause the selected chart to be loaded.

Track Display

Lead Show, Wing Show CheckBoxes: Select these to display the track of the lead ship or the ownship, respectively. Note, even if you turn off the tracks, the aircraft icons will continue to be displayed on the charts.

Off-Chart Aircraft Symbols

If the Ownship or lead ship is off the edge of a chart and not able to be centered, it will be drawn in red in the general direction of the aircraft's location.
Pan and Zoom
